Here are my favorite halloween movies:
1. Nightmare Before Christmas
2. Hocus Pocus
3. Adam's Family
Last year we got an edited copy of "Vacancy" and that movie scared the crap out of me - I might be weird, but I really like being scared. I'm lucky though because I'm usually only scared during the movie and it doesn't affect me afterwards.
Any suggestions for a good Halloween movie? Also...if anyone has any Halloween traditions I'd love to hear them...I need ideas of fun stuff to do (Halloween lasts all month you know!)

Fun! I think caramel apples are my favorite Fall treat. Avilyn is sure darling. Hopefully we'll see her soon. Grandma Moulton was saying that Avilyn might be the cutest baby she's ever seen. I hope you're getting more sleep lately!
Hi Kami and Porter--I love the pictures! I am so happy that you blogged. I check yours every day and I am so disappointed when there are no new pics! I love Halloween also! It is my very favorite holiday! Very Friday night we have "Freaky Friday". We do something halloweenie or watch a scary movie. Scary movie suggestions are "The Birds", "Death Trap", "Wait Until Dark", "Witches", "Young Frankenstein" "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown","Secret Window", "The Sixth Sense". That will keep you busy watching. As you can see I mostly like hokey, not too scary movies but they are fun! I love you guys and miss you so much! Bring that beautiful little pink baby girl down. I need to see her!--Holly

I don't like Halloween movies, to be frank, Halloween scares me...
Maybe you should try something funny/pretending to be scary, like Dracula:Dead and Loving It...ha ha!
The best Halloween movie for me is Watcher in the Woods, with Lady in White a close second. I really want my kids to see Watcher in the Woods - it is a Disney, but I think they would be freeked out. Do you still have Vacancy or did you just rent it? When do I get my "Happy Halloween 2" CD? We love listening to the one from last year. Kate was singing, "This is Halloween, this is Halloween" today and when I picked up what she was singing, she made me sing it over and over! Oh, another scary movie - The Changeling. We watched it often on dates in high school. That movie scared the crap out of me. You should bring your scary movies down to mom's this weekend. I know you have What Lies Beneath. I borrowed it from you once when Russ was gone and had to stop watching about 20 minutes into it.
Hey Kami - Avilyn is so cute, I like her halloween outfit. In October we love to visit a pumpkin farm, go on hay rides and pick out our own pumpkins to carve, it's a fun family activity. I love scary movies any time of the year, they are my favorite. I love Hocus Pocus - I think Alysa and I watched that a few times in high school.

I agree with whoever said "Watcher in the Woods" is a good scary movie. It's a Disney movie from the 70s with Bette Davis and it still scares the crap out of me.

Your little girl is so cute! I just want to squeeze her. You as well look so good. You don't look like you just had a baby at all. It's quite unfair. I was just thinking about halloween and our fun times dressing up as army chicks and making magic potions while dancing to enya. HAHA good times.
